I have a couple new mid October announcements that I would like to share with you.

1. Pep Band is starting up with fall post season! For the fall, we play at soccer and volleyball section games if our team makes the section championship or state games. Next Tuesday, soccer has their section championship games lined up. We will know if the team made it after their game on Thursday. I will post a sign up sheet in the band room with all the pep band information on it (warm up time, game, approx end). All students in the band program need to go to a minimum of 4 games throughout the year, but most students end up going to many more because they are so fun! Here is a link to the pep band schedule. The games in Italics are post season games, which we only play if the team continues in the tournament. The games not in italics are the regular season games that we have. The basketball games are played in the main gym and the hockey games are played in Ames Arena at the corner of Ipava and Kenwood Trail. The uniform for pep band is the official red band hoodie or the official band polo, jeans, and closed toed authentic shoes. The band hoodie can be purchased on the spirit wear store (link on the band website).

2. Italy pre-tour meeting. The pre-tour meeting is set for Thursday, December 7 at 6:30 in the band room. This is arequiredmeeting for the students and families going on the Italy trip. Please put it on the calendar now. We will be going over policies and procedures for the trip and answering any questions families might have.

3. Italy roommate sign ups are posted in the band room. Students need to sign up for double occupancy rooms by next Tuesday, October 17. If a student does not have a roommate, please let me know and I will work to help them find a roommate.

4. Kenwood Trail pep fest. Students have an opportunity to participate in the Kenwood Trail pep fest on Tuesday, October 17. We will depart at 12:45 And return at the end of school. There is a sign up in the band room for students that are interested.
