Band families,

It is wild to see how fast February is flying by! We have several events coming up at the end of the month as well as the beginning of March that I want to bring to your attention:

1. Lakeville Concert Band Festival (symphonic band only) will be held at Lakeville South on Monday February 27. The concert begins at 7pm. Student need to be there by 6pm for a joint rehearsal.
2. The Lakeville All City Jazz Festival (jazz band only) will be help at Lakeville South on Thursday March 2. The concert will begin at 7:15. Students will need to be there by 6:30.
3. The Almost Spring Band Concert (all bands) will be held in the Lakeville North auditorium on Thursday, March 9. The concert will begin at 7pm.

5. Wednesday February 22 (this week!) there will be an amazing jazz trio performing at Barley and Vine from 6-9pm. The drummer has performed with Wynton Marsalis and is a current student at St. Olaf College.
6. Pep Band: We are in the season on winter sports playoffs. The GoogleForm sign up for Girls Hockey was sent out last weekend. As we find out about other sports, I will send out information on the BAND app.
7. Italy trip: The second part of the downpayment is coming up at the beginning of March. If you have not signed up for the trip, but are still wanting to go, please send me an email so I have and idea of how many students we will have going. Families that would like to travel along, I will be sending out more information once I have an idea of how many students are going.
8. Fundraisers: Thank you for everyone that participated in the Heggies fundraisers! We sold over 900 pizzas! The Gertens Spring Flower Sale is currently going on and you can find information on that on the band website.
